The Red Terror in Soviet Russia, as well as in Bolshevik-occupied Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland, was a campaign of political repression and executions which was carried out by the Bolsheviks, chiefly through the CHEKA, the Bolshevik secret police.
